Barbie Pink!

Hey guys!

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I had a wedding to go to so of course once I decided on what dress I was wearing, I had to figure out what to do with my nails! I waned something girly and pretty and simple. As I was looking through my polish I found Play the Peonies from OPI but I wanted more that just that beautiful light pearly pink so I went looking in my glitters to see if I could find anything that would go well. I found a glittery pink top coat from Forever21.

It turned out perfect! It changed Play the Peonies just enough (click here to see Play the Peonies by itself). As you can see, the top coat really did change the color and the glitter was just enough. I really liked how it turned out, hope you guys did too!

Girly Pink Glitter

Alright, getting back on track with posting things regularly starts now!

Here is another polish from Forever21's Love & Beauty line that has no name. I grabbed it because it reminded me of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream but sadly, it isn't as glittery or as girly in my opinion as Teenage Dream is but it is still pretty and still very girly. And once again, super cute bottle!! To get this as glittery and girly as I wanted, I would have had to have done at least 3 coats, this is only with 2 coats. 

Just a quick one to ease back into things but we'll be posting more this week!

Mermaid Tail

I tried out a new Love & Beauty polish from Forever21 today and I had kind high hopes for it and feel a little let down by it. Let me show you why and explain...

 

I do love the flakes in this polish but by itself, I feel like it made my nails look like they just had a green tinge to them, not that they were painted and who wants green nails? Not me! This polish would look really good over greens, blues, possibly yellows, and possibly purples though! So in order to try and save this, I put another new polish from Love & Beauty on top of it and really liked how it 

came out. 

Even more flakes and glitter added on top! I thought it looked kind of like a mermaid tail. I'm really glad I tried out these two polished together! 

On a side note, I thought the flower bottle was so stinking cute!! I also got a pink one too that I'm excited to try out! 

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" totally worked in this situation!

Glittery Nudes

Here is one of the Love & Beauty polishes from Forever21 that doesn't have a name. I like nudes but sometimes they bore me and since this has glitter in it, it gives it a little something extra. It was more shear that I expected, so instead of my typical two coats I had to go with three. Overall I really liked the color though!

Be on the lookout for a semi 4th of July inspired look! Any big plans besides watching fireworks, cooking out, and slipping into a food-coma?

Mini Haul

Just wanted to show you a few of the new polishes I've bought over the last month (roughly), nothing too crazy exciting today but keep looking a little later on this week to see how a few of these looked on!

 

From left to right: Essie Nice is Nice, Essie My Perfect Pair which included Meet Me at Sunset and Smooth Sailing, two Love & Beauty polishes from Forever21 that don't have names, Wet N Wild Fastdry Waves of Enchantment (which I used in my water marble), and Wet N Wild Fastdry Sea of Dreams.  

Question: Would you guys like to see an occasional post on other beauty products besides nail polishes? Make up, face products (washes, lotions, cleansers, etc.), perfumes, other things along those lines? We would still stay a nail polish blog obviously, just something else to mix it up every once in a while. Give us your thoughts please! 

Like I said before, be on the look out the rest of the week for posts featuring a few of those polishes above.

Love, plain and simple.

Since Brielle is getting married this weekend, a post about love is only fitting! When trying to decide what I wanted to paint my nails, I looked at the group of polishes that I have yet to use, this Zoya color yelled "PICK ME!" loud in clear and I couldn't have been happier with it. The color by Zoya is called Colbie. 

 

Something else I'm really loving right now is my love ring from Forever21. I just love it, plain and simple.  I've worn it quite a lot since I got it and for under $5, makes it even better.
