OPI Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous - Chanel Graphite Dupe

Hi everyone! So sorry I've been MIA, I'm on vacation in San Diego with the Husband! It's been so nice, and now that I'm sunburnt and crispy I am a little slower than he is, so I have time to write a blog!

As you know, I am a huge LOVER of Chanel nail polishes, but the price does not fit in with a college married persons budget, so I do what I can to get over my lust. In comes OPI's Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous. It's a dark charcoal black that looks very similar to Chanel's Graphite (I think).

While Graphite has a little yellow/golden undertones, Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous does not. It's a flat black shade, but similar all the same. I originally purchased this nail polish in a set, from Ulta shown here it was so cheap I couldn't pass it up! I got two amazing polishes out of it too!

OPI:

To me, it will be the closest I can get to Chanel's Graphite. I hope you think so too! Also, It can make happy husbands because $9 is always better than $25!

Happy Friday everyone!

Ps, This polish required a felt removal. I'm going to be posting on that soon! Keep your eyes peeled! (What a weird saying!)

Wannabe Chanel Mimosa

Hi guys! I hope everyone's summer is going really well! It's getting hot here!

So, I LOVE Chanel nail polishes! They are so amazing, but I do not love the price tag, like other people, so I decided to improvise!

For the Summer, Chanel released Mimosa, a sheer "shimmery" golden/buttery polish. Uhhhh I lusted over this polish, but I knew, being such a crazy color, that I could not buy it because I would never get my used out of it. I just made do with the colors I already owned!

First, I did two coats of China Glaze's Lemon Fizz from their Up & Away collection. Then, having CND's Gold shimmer, I put on a top coat. It doesn't look like it 100%, but for me, it's pretty close.

Chanel's Mimosa: (I just googled this picture)
Here's my interpretation!

What are your improvisations for Chanel polishes? Do you have any dupes? I would LOVE to know!

I hope to have a great fourth of july nail posting here soon!

Have a great week!
