Barry M Pink Flamingo

Hi bloggers!

As promised, here is one of the polishes Boldnbella sent us! Pink Flamingo from Barry M.
It is such a pretty color! It's a wonderful summer color but with the season's changing, I definitely have found myself going for deeper, richer colors or nudes but this is still a beauty!

I also have another set of dupes for you. Essie Nice is Nice and China Glaze Light As Air.
The main difference between these two polishes is how opaque they are. China Glaze could have cover fine with one good coat while Essie would nee probably three coats to get around the same even, opacity. That being said, both colors or equally as pretty.

Hope you enjoyed and have had a good week so far!

Galaxy Nails

Hi bloggers!

I know galaxy nails have been going around for a while now but I just got around to giving them a try. I liked a lot of the pictures I've seen posted online and watched a tutorial on how to do them a while ago and decided to give them a shot finally.

I started off with a black base coat, China Glaze Liquid Leather. Next, I decided some flakes would be a great idea to add some interest to the black so it wasn't just a flat black. I used Hidden Treasure from Sally Hansen, the most beautiful flakes ever.

I used a lot of different colors, probably more than I needed to but oh well. I had fun creating the nebula effect on my nails. I created this by using a wet Q-tip, similar to my glitter gradient post. The colors used in the order they were used from left to right: China Glaze Liquid Leather, Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, Sephora by OPI Blue Grotto, Zoya Caitlin Love and Beauty Lime, China Glaze Touch of Glamour, Sephora by OPI Wardrobe Change, China Glaze White Cap, and for the stars I used China Glaze White On White.

If I were to do these again, I would definitely want to find a tool to make smaller stars because mine turned out way too big for my liking. Also, I would probably want to use a yellow for my stars instead of white, or maybe mix some yellow and white together to get a good color for the stars because I feel like the white looks a little out of place. You could also just go without the stars at all, I really liked just the nebula look by itself.

Hope you guys enjoyed!

OPI Spookette's - He's My Boo

Hey everyone! OMG HALLOWEEN IS SO CLOSE!

Okay, Halloween is legit my favorite Holiday. No joke. I LOVE IT! Pumpkins, Candy, Dressing up, CANDY! Ahh!

So of course, I ALWAYS buy the halloween collections from the polish companies... It's my vice.

So, here's what I got:

To be honest, I usually HATE mini's. You'll see Lindsey with them, but not me. I just hate how little they are, how little the hole is, how the brush isn't a pro-wide which I ADORE, etc. But these are the BEST mini's I've EVER bought! Not kidding. They applied so well, no gloops or glopes.

These were also my gameday nails. The football team I work for color's are orange and black (how perfect, right?) and so I usually do a gameday mani (watch out for more of these :))

Okay, you know me, I can never not have tipwear, and not kidding, I took these on the field at our game, so sorry for the poor quality. But I mean do you see that foot? Yep, that's a cleat. The boy standing next to me was like uhh... are you taking pictures of your nails, and I just said yep! Hahaha I totally forgot to take them before the game and I knew that if I waited they would be goners.

Okay, I used two coats of He's my boo and one coat of CND's Gold shimmer. SO PRETTY. (Of course I topped it off with Seche Vite because I have NO patience for any other top coat). The shimmer looked so so so so pretty with the orange. Such a pretty combination.

We ended up losing, but it's okay, I love the boys anyways!

I hope everyone has a good week!

Nail Polish Swap with Boldnbella!

Hi bloggers!

We are so, so excited for this post and to use the nail polishes and share them with you all! Joanna, from Boldnbella contacted us about a month or so ago to see if we would be interested in doing a nail polish swap since she lives in the UK and we, living the US, can't always get the same nail polish brands. So here is what she sent us!
From left to right: Ciaté Wait Until Dark, Attitude Tutti Frutti, Barry M Pink Flamingo, Mavala Toulouse, Famous 36 Scarlet Sparkle, and Gosh Ruby Red Nail Glitter.

We are going to split these between ourselves so we can both try them out so be on the look out for swatches!

Thank you so much Joanna for asking us to do this swap with you! It turned out great! Bloggers, be sure to check out Joanna's blog, Boldnbella, for some great beauty and nail polish posts!

Be sure to check out what we sent her here and follow her too!

Hope you enjoyed as much as we have!

Meet Me At Sunset

Hi bloggers!

Here is just a quick NOTD look featuring Meet Me At Sunset from Essie, a beautiful orange-red color which is another good color for transitioning into fall.

Also, another set of dupes. I love both of these glittery teals in the bottle and on my nails but I do not however like taking them off.  Excuse the blurry first picture, I got a new camera recently and I'm still trying to get use to the settings.
When it comes to the glitter/flakes in these two polishes, as you can tel, Teal of Fortune is more blue, while Glee is more green. As I said above, I did not enjoy taking these off and here is why-both of them stained, not my nails, but my cuticles and surrounding skin. The two colors are Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune and Jesse's Girl Glee, both of these are two coats. Although they both stained the Wet n Wild stained more. Both pretty colors but be prepared when it comes time to take them off.

Hope you enjoyed!

OPI Brisbane Bronze

OH MY GOSH GUYS!

Seriously, my life has been ridiculous lately. Football has definitely taken over! I rarely have my nails painted because they always chip like 2.5 seconds later.

We've had our first game, so things are getting back to a normal routine, finally. Hopefully I'll do a weekly blog with my game day polish! Last year I did Oranges and designs, it was fun! I'll try and keep up on it!

This was after our first game:

On to the nails! Along with the post Lindsey did, I am transitioning into Fall. I LOVE FALL! Omg. It's my absolute favorite time of year, I love football, the cooler weather, EVERYTHING! While I wear whatever colors I want all year round, I usually find myself leaning toward the darker colors during fall. I almost always find myself with Oranges or browns or deep purples on my nails.

I figured for the first days of fall (after Labor Day!) I would try a bronze color that would work nicely in the summer with a tan and in the fall because it matched the leaves and footballs!

This is OPI's Brisbane Bronze a perfect color for the beginning of fall! UH! It just shimmers and looks so great on. Everyone always comments on how nice my nails look (while not being too ostentatious!). Of course the application was a dream, I love OPI.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning days of fall! I know I am! Enjoy some college football and hot cocoa!

Love love love!

Transitioning Into Fall

Hi bloggers!

If you live in the mid west of the US like Brielle and I do, then you know the seasons are beginning to change weather or not we want them to! So what does this mean for you nails? Of course you can keep them whatever colors you want but I do tend to generally follow the seasons when it comes to my color choices. Around this time of year I start using more reds and darker pinks to ease into fall. This NOFD is Sephora by OPI BYOBoy. I love this color, it's the perfect dark mauvey-pink.

I'm also going to start including some dupes with some of my posts. As my nail polish collection has grown and continues to grow, I've noticed I've gotten more and more dupes without really noticing that I had acquired so many. Some of the colors are from different seasonal collections and some or more permanent colors from different nail polish brands. This group of dupes are obviously reds, another good fall transition color. The colors from left to right: Revlon Valentine, China Glaze Phat Santa, China Glaze Drastic, and Sally Hansen Hollywood Scarlet.

On each finger there are two coats of the color.  As you can tell, they are all pretty similar shades.
Hope you enjoyed!

It's My Year

Hi bloggers!

Just a simple NOTD post. This lovely color is It's My Year from OPI from the Miss Universe Collection. A picture in the sun and in the shade which I typically don't post but it's hard to get a picture of the true color because of the shimmer, it's just beautiful!
I also wanted to talk about a buffer I recently purchased from Sephora. Like most make up enthusiasts, I love Sephora and all of the brands they have but every once and a while there are products that aren't so great, this buffer is one of them.

The honeycomb side is the buffing side and the opposite side is the polishing side. I barely began to buff my nails and saw rather large pieces of my nail being taken off so I immediately stop buffing. If you are a usual nail buffer like, Brielle and I, you would have done the same thing! If you weren't paying attention and weren't careful as to how much you buffed your nails, you could easily over-buff them to the point where they would be very thin, uncomfortably thin and cause breaking. I would not recommend anyone buying this buffer. This definitely isn't changing my views on Sephora, I still love Sephora, they just missed the mark on this product in my opinion.

Hope you enjoyed!
